Second day🌝

 Hi🤍

Our today trip is in Minorai Kalon and today with us as Sabinabonu and Gulnoza.

There are many ancient monuments in Bukhara. Each of them is precious.  Each of them seems to be a dumb witness to the nature of our ancestors. In fact, it is.

Take the Kalon Minaret. It is impossible to imagine Bukhara without this monument, which is an integral part of the Kalon complex.  was included in the list of miracles.

The Kalon Minaret was built in 1127 by the last Karakhanid ruler Arslankhan under the direction of architect Usta Baqo. It is 47.5 meters high and 9 meters in diameter.  Not surprisingly, it is called Kalon (Big Tower).

Some historians say that Adam was sixty feet tall and that the Great Tower was built to the same size.

Kalon minaret is also called a unique encyclopedia of Bukhara architecture. The fact is that many architectural monuments in the city were destroyed as a result of various invasions and natural disasters.

-Minorai Kalon used to be a beacon for trade caravans, - says Shodmon Hayitov, professor of Bukhara State University, doctor of historical sciences. - It was lit at night.  The call to prayer was also recited in it. In addition, the tower was used to warn of enemy invasions.

Sabinabonu and Gulnoza spoke about the history of Minora Kalon and how it was built. The most interesting process of building is Minora Kalon.

Legend has it that Genghis Khan, who conquered Bukhara and showed no mercy to the city's defenders, destroyed many ancient artifacts. He stopped for a moment in front of the Kalon Tower.

Slowly bending down and picking it up, he said, "I have never bowed to anyone before. But this tower is so majestic that you should bow before it."

Today was very sunny and funny😊🌝
